Monos at the Manx Grand Prix

After a conversation with a mate of mine the other day I saw this from the Manx Grand Prix Web site

    Quote from entry 2011 Regs
Race 1 NEWCOMERS RACE in 2 capacity classes run concurrently ie
    Class A
    550cc – 750cc 4 stroke 4 cylinder
    651cc – 1000cc 4 stroke 2 cylinder
    601cc – 675cc 4 stroke 3 cylinder
    601cc – 1000cc rotary equivalent
    201cc – 450cc 2 stroke 2 cylinder
    Class B
Up to 125 cc 2 stroke single cylinder, 6 gears maximum
    251cc – 400cc 4 stroke 4 cylinder.
Up to 450cc 4 stroke single cylinder
    Up to 650cc 4 stroke 2 cylinder

Race 5 SUPER TWIN/LIGHTWEIGHT in 2 capacity classes run concurrently ie
    Class A - SuperTwin
    201cc – 350cc 2 stroke 2 cylinder
    Up to 650cc 4 stroke 2 cylinder
    Class B - Lightweight
Up to 125 cc 2 stroke single cylinder, 6 gears maximum
    251cc – 400cc 4 stroke 4 cylinder.
Up to 450cc 4 stroke single cylinder

No mention of motocross frames or Moto450 rules just a max capasity of 450 so looks like Tigcraft and the like frames would be alowed. Could be a whole new chalange for some of the disafected riders out there.
    Cheers Nick

Interesting, very interesting. It would be great if we could push for larger Mono engines in the future. I will sleeve down to 450 cc for next years Manx in the worst case.
