    Say Hello

Hello to all new forum members!

Introduce yourself, if you want. Otherwise lurk around.

Be sure to fill out your profile with any information you want to share. We'll be adding some more new fields over the next few weeks and months, so make sure it's up to date and packed with seriously facinating facts about yourself. If you can think of any. You'll notice mine is blank.
It's hard enough remembering my opinions, let alone the reasons for them.

Well i might aswell introduce myself.

my names Liam and my main interest in building bikes and spending hours trawling websites, mags and books looking for my next project or new technological advancements in new parts etc. Im just about to finish an aprilia rs125 race bike that i built from the frame up, i know its not exactly innovative but it was still quite a challenge.

i've always been pretty interested in supermono and on another forum i have seen some amazing bikes being built, like theos and jamie porters bikes, i do not have that kind of skill, knowledge or access to the kind of machinery that they have but i still want to have a go at building one of these bikes with the view to race it in the near future, i've currently got my eye of the NWS frame that red wine racing is selling and im about to put a deposit down on it as currently im out of the country for the next couple of months, would like to fit a crf450 engine as thats what the bike was built to use so any advice on this engine, things i need to do or look out for, martins given me a lot of pointers which has been helpful but of course if anyone has any parts for that engine or even the chassis would great. thanks. Liam

    Hi Liam

Welcome to the forum. If you can blog your project on the site as it happens we'd all be interested to see it come together. I'm intending to put a supplier section on here when I pull my finger out, so keep an eye out if you need stuff as the build happens. Ta. Andy

Thanks, So how do i do this blog? I dont mind doing a write up at all as i did that for my aprilia.

A suppliers page would be great, i most definitley would use it to boost up my little black book of contacts.

I noticed the other day that the design of this website changed, will you be bringing any of the content over from the old website to this one? i was quite interested in that short letter descibing what supermono is all about the different types of bikes, it made it easier to explain to my friends what supermono is. and something in the bikes sections would be pretty good, something for me to look at and thinking about the possibilities of putting something from that bike onto mine.

    Thanks. Liam

    Hi Liam

most of the information on the old site has been transfered to the home page - have a look around there. I'm busy compiling a suppliers list and will post it this week. So far, the blog facility is limited to administrators only, but I'll get it rolled out to allow others to blog this week also.

    Cheers

    hey from Canada

Lonly mono racer in Canada. Also am finishing an ER6n to race as well. Mine's a Tigcraft based KLX400 that was in PB a few months ago. REALLY wish I could race against some other singles, although at that my bike is likely not too competitive with only 40 hp or so...

    Fun as hell, however!

    Hi James

Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around. I haven't read a bike mag in years so if you have some pictures of your bike can you bung them in the gallery? I'm sure there'll be more than just me interested.

    Cheers
