    Moto3 Regulations Published (kind of)

Detailed Moto3 Regulations are tucked away in this FIM announcement from last weekend's MotoGP.

Looks pretty good to me. 14,000rpm 4T monos back in GPs.
Time to finish designing and start building.

Hi, I've read the Moto3 regulations and I have some doubts that I hope that someone could help me.
It's about the ECU and data acquisition systems, in the regulations it's written that a teams can use those systems but only the ones allowed by the FIM and Dorna, does anyone knows which brands and systems are those?
thanks for any help and sorry for my english

    Hi,

I noticed that too. I don't know, but I suspect from how the rule is worded that it will be an ECU teams will have to purchase from the organisers. But they don't say what it is. There is similar wording for the tyres. It suggests to me that there will be a single tyre supplier. Take note when you're designing your chassis to allow enough adjustability for different rolling diameters.

    Regards

Unless you have the millions required to run at MOTOGP I dont think you need to concern yourselves with the control ecu or tyre stuff. Looks to me as if the regs have been drawn up with the big manufacturer's in mind. I am guessing that the UEM and ACU will probably have their own set of regs....I do know that both Spain and Italy are allowing the Moto3 bikes into their GP125 championships in 2011, although I haven't found the regs yet.
