Thread: the fab 5

    the fab 5

I am led to believe that there is £2.5k in the supermono bank account given to us by Buff. It is my very strong opinion that it should be equally shared between the the remaining "fab 5" mono's. We have supported the series all year long trying our best to make the most of the opportunity given to the mono community by Thundersport GB. Anyone who has ever built/maintained and run a supermono doesn't need telling what commitment and sacrifice that takes. The number of entrants on the points table speaks for itself. The top 5 in the championship are also the 5 who will have turned up to at least 7 of the 8 rounds (we are all going to Donington). It is essentially our club, it wouldn't exist without us and it would be nice to get a little something for our year on year effort.

Gets my vote! I don't believe that there is quite that much in the piggy bank, but I can't think of a better use for it. Rob W is in charge of the chequebook. I would get in touch, but I've lost everybody's addresses after a major wipeout of my PC. (dodgy websites!). Rob are you there? or can someone forward me his address? Well done to all

    Good Evening

Firstly, an apology to all of you who have mislaid Rob's contact details. Until the website was re-designed, they were clearly noted as the contact details for anyone who had queries about any aspect of the series.... rob.whitworth@ntlworld.com. I realise that the comments directed through this forum and this thread would have been made direct to Rob, if you had not all lost his contact details.

The balance of the Supermono account was £4,252.00 at the beginning of 2010, this included the Buff sponsorship, there has been no other source of income.
£2,000.00 was paid to Thundersport for TV coverage, as requested.
£305.00 was paid, as requested by Andy Turner, for the re-designing of the web-site.
£662.00 has been expended on advertising in Bike Sport News.

I hope that this clarifies the state of the account.

    Maggie
